    When I was at school we used to have the 1 min silence, do the schools still do that.

    Yeah my kids school does.

    We are unable to stop at my work - safety reasons. But if possible I like to do my own little minute silence.

    Its good to see the school system has retained some important things,
    We normal do have it if we are awake , but working nights we have to be finished by 8am, so usually asleep well before 11.

    I work in a company of around 10,000 employees and they put out an announcement over the PA and to the best of ppls abilities they observe the minute's silence.
