    Best thing about my job?
Well just right now I have 2 weeks and 2 days to go to the big R.
I am looking forward to that.

Then its buy a 130 cab chassis and an Innovan in about a year and get to see much more of the backyard.
I am really looking forward to that.

    cheers

I mostly enjoy my job. I work at a private boarding school, and live onsite as the caretaker. I manage all the safety related parts of the school ie the security service, fire safety, OHS etc

For 2 weeks of each year I teach Yr11 boys the in's and out's of Basic Firefighting through our RFS Firefighter program and then a further week is spent 'out bush'.

I get to range shoot whenever I want at either the school's smallbore range, or at the bigbore club range we are affiliated with. Also working flexible office hours allows me to go out hunting mid week

The downside is always being on-call for my security officers when something big goes down, and still having to do at least one night shift every week

Well I dont have an outdoors job, I work as a business analyst. So for me, the bits about my job that are great are the good people I work with (we have a sense of homour!) and the thrill of solving business problems for others in my department.

Ohh, and I get to check out AULRO

The best thing about my job is hopefully retirement in 12 months or so.

One of the good things is looking out over the Whitsundays each time I'm here. My work () time starts at 1000 on a Wednesday and finishes at 1630 on Wednesday two weeks later.....sometimes three weeks. Day starts at 0615 and finishes at 1530 or 1730.

Has been raining for the past 4 days though

I work in the Design And Technology department at an all boys school in Melbourne. Rewards for me are seeing some of the work produced by the boys... esp the non-manaully gifted ones. Academia can only go so far... then someone has to make it!

Oh... and love seeing thier faces when i rock up on a monday with the 'fender end to end in mud!

I HATED BUILDING BORING WHITE BOXES CALLED KITCHENS but I LOVED designing clients a master piece suited to their budgets and love the challenges of awkward areas.
NOW I am working on opening Environmentally Friendly Kitchens which has taken 12 months to finish the research and developement, business plans etc.
Now the reason I love this way of building is the real joinery skill required and making a stand for what I feel strongly about, land fill issues, a better longer lasting product, saw dust not poison dust and making it no more expensive than a conventional kitchen.

It made me proud to give clients what they wanted and needed even years later after I have finished I still get compliments about the kitchens.
Satisfaction of a job well done and now a job less damaging to the eco system.

I am happy and I love it.

    Cheers

I'm planning that for 20th January - I started work on 20th Jan 1965 on my 17th birthday. I've had 2 days unemployment since then - a Saturday and a Sunday.

I'm bored witless with my job and it's getting harder and harder to go to work even though it's easy and there's little to do. I hate the midnight shifts - I feel awful after each of them - I actually prefer the dayshifts where I am busy and I go home feeling OK. Arvo shifts are good as get most of the day at home.
