I seem to the the odd-one out here with my logic...
If you have no plans to breed a dog, then neuter or spey it, simple as! I've had two pairs of girl dogs who've been speyed and not so much as a knock on the gates from some horny dog. Curiosity is another thing...
I'm extremely protective of my 2.5yo golden retreiver and 2yo basset x beagle, love them and would put myself before them. Any dog which comes up my drive will face an unpleasant welcome from me, period. I don't know if they immunised, their behaviour, destructive tendencies, etc. A couple of time's I've had to pull out the hockey stick in a manner to dissuade a few dogs from getting close to my girls. Irresponsible dog owners who can't keep their dogs restrained are one of my biggest gripes above all. My dogs are restrained, well trained n behaved, so don't expect me to respond to your unrestrained dogs wandering around freely as favourably. It's frigging irresponsible and dangerous to road users (I'm a bike rider btw), and when I have kids, if your dog gets close or tries to bites my kids I will smash the dog and you with said hockey stick will all my might n then some).
Sorry, but if you have a dog, restrain it n be a responsible owner. Period.
