    dentist bill

Just had number 7 tooth pulled and $440 extracted from my wallet. Anyone know if this is excessive or not the bill reads:
    examination $72
    X-ray $46
    surgical extraction $322
what’s the difference from surgical extraction to normal extraction. He definitely did not have to use any surgery.
Have a mate who went to Bali for ten days stayed in a resort including airfares from Darwin. Had two teeth extracted, top dentures made with a total cost of $2500.

A quick and easy filling at my bloke's is now $140. Stop complaining, in 2005 I had two crowns replaced with implants as the stumps were damaged and new crowns could not be fitted. $7,000. I had a temporary plate for three months whilst the bone grafts were taking up around the implant base. I would have spent any amount after that to avoid going through life with a denture.

I had my two lower wisdom teeth pulled this year (last year?) for $200 total.
They were a straightforward extraction. I was in and out in 30 minutes.

Some dentists can charge obscene amounts for trivial things, but that sounds pretty fair priced considering Lewy. I know of people who have paid more than that for a basic check-up in the city. Ouch!!!

I'm very fortunate and greatful to my best mate (who I've known most of my life), as his dad happens to be a very good dentist, so I go for regular checkups and work done, never feel a thing, have a laugh while I'm there, n I only ever pay for materials used.

Its all relative to the amount of pain you are in at the time,Just a little worried about the future costs i will be up for though, have a quote for around $7000 for work that will be needed in the near future and at 54 years old have to wonder weather to just have them all out and be done with it.

About 3 years ago had a tooth removed at a Darwin dentist and nearly fell over when I got the bill..cant remember but think about $300..What made it worse was when I put the Bill in to my Health fund they sent me an e-mail and said thats the most expensive extraction they have seen a bill for..So I not only had a sore mouth but a sore hip pocket as well.

Alot of the people from my industry are resorting to overseas dentist work.

my last tooth extracted was by a specialist & took 15mins & cost $240........ so the extraction price you payed was a tad dear.
