As per previous post just drove my new ( Secondhand) 300 tdi from Melbourne to Townsville. Well I put the beast up on a mates ramps and was having a gander and planning my service for tomorrow. As we were chatting away about the leaking Vaccum pump he happened to mention that there was a slight oil leak running down the side of the oil filter. No worries i say and commenced to wipe oil. Bloody hell the filter just about fell off in my hand. I recon the only thing stopping it falling off was two turns of thread and the o'ring. Might go and buy a lotto ticket![]()
