    milk crates?

    Hi Guys,

    Just been reading this http://www.aulro.com/afvb/projects-t...-warnings.html

Out of curiosity, how many people have ever been done for "illegally being in possession of a milk crate?" I did a bit of maintenance work in a copshop once, used a milk crate to carry bits and bobs, none of them gave it a second glance?

There was a bit of a thing in the news recently where the price of milk has dropped and the farmers are getting less than what it cost to produce it. I reckon they must factor the in the price that every bloke in aus has one or two crates in their shed, so if you don't knock a couple off it's like they're getting money for free?

I, like many others, have a healthy collection of milk crates. We used to commonly call them "$2000 tables", as that was the supposed fine if caught in possession.

Grab three and cable-tie them together, two side by side and one on top to make an L shape - makes a great little step.

I haven't seen them used as sand tracks, but it seems like an ok idea.

Never heard of anyone actually getting a fine, surely if the owners cared enough they wouldn't be everywhere.

I bought mine at the local tip/recycling centre- $3 bucks each.
I must be the only mug in Aust to actually buy them !!

But I've still got the receipt. ( It only says Milk crates -$12.00 -guess how many I have nowadays )
