Kids aren't really old enough for me to be addicted to Lego.

    Yet.

I keep buying the four year olds kits for nine year olds. They're doing pretty well so far.

HA HA yes i tend to do the same, box says 6 years old but minime is only 3, waste of bloody money etc etc, but then he just picks it up and sorts out what he wants to do with it and im all happy.
his birthday i got him a new bike, looks cool, maybe i should have waited until he could ride the first bike.

Yes, will have to put my hand up,

    another lego tragic!

the boy and I spend hours building stuff, knocking it down, building it again.....

I check out big dub and Mkart for specials when ever we are in town, got some pretty cheap stuff on the net too, sometimes out of the US good deals can be had. A lot of the US lego is not available in Australia all though as soon as something goes out of production, the price seems to jump pretty significantly. Given the good dollar at the moment some good deals could be done in the UK although I haven't been on UK ebay for ages to check.

The official lego webshop is really dear, more so than the shops when not on special and they sting savagely for freight.

I love Lego. I've built a complete working 4WD model from it, even got a locking centre diff. But I can't find anywhere that sells all the useful individual pieces like the diffs, cogs and so on.

    I Love Lego!

The thing to remember is that it seems expensive, but if you think about the number of hours of enjoyment you (I mean, um, your kids ) will get out of it, it is really very reasonable!
