    windscreens

Not a happy chappie, in August this year I had 2 rocks through my sceen on the oonandatta track by motor bikes, replaced under my free screen for the year, on friday I was pulled up at someroad works when a truck went passed it must have had a large rock stuck in between the duels that flicked out and smashed another one. Booked in to be replaced on 3rd dec at a cost of $340, bugger

Thats bad luck to have that happen in close timeframes, but as you say, over 32 years it aint bad! mind you, $340 is a LOT of money, why dont you buy one from JC.. would be worth the trip and savings.

Just had to book a new one in the Disco this morning actually.

One of the guys in the Hume CC mowing crew working on Saturday arvo on the road to the airport saw to that. He decided that the verge of sparse dead grass right aside the road needed mowing. You know I hate it too when the gravel grows fast this time of year.

He flung a rock big enough to make 3 star chips in a 1 square inch area right in front of my face which rapidly became a crack about 200mm long. This is on a 2 lane road sign posted at 80 kph. Funny thing was that they had a "caution, mowing" sign for traffic coming from the airport. I have a photo of the other caution signs still on their trucks.

On a positive note, I have found a bloke who thinks he can source and supply one without any tint at the top. Will see what he turns up with on Wednesday.
