on this basis i would be going for a completly rebuilt 300tdi they may not be go faster but they do go on and on especially with a bit of servicing, i would also get a gearbox overhaul at the same time
and carry halfshafts and water pump alternator, a vacum pump for the brakes and starter motor if i was on a run round oz,
just so i could get myself out of the pooh.
but if he wants more glamour i suppose one of those ford transit land rover copies might be in order but it does have it's draw backs as in having the parts to get it out of stchook
