Now I've seen everything and you HAVE got to be joking.

    automatic reverse parking.

    In the new prius.

This electronic/driver aids thing is getting rediculous

ABS I can buy its safety.
TC its a cheap alternative to mechanical aids
ACE gives you better stability on corners
Cruise control makes it easier to drive long distance at a stable speed (cmon is the throttle return spring pressure really that high on your car)

but at this I draw the line.

IF you cant work out how to position the vehicle to make a one shot move into a carpark perhaps you should stay out of carparks and stick to driving on the road.

If your JD is sooo bad that you cant tell if you have enough space to park your car in you shouldnt be driving in the first place.

and the bit that I find funniest of all.

most problems that occour when reverseing are when people reverse out of the carpark that they already drove into. how the hell are they going to go when after years of not having steered in reverse they have to reverse out into traffic?

Does it have sensors for the totally hopeless, who can't even start from the correct position? Surely must have.

soon , the driver won't be doing any driving , you'll sit in the driver's seat , kick back and the car will drive you to your destination

short answer Yes. From what I saw, you just pull up along side the car in front, define the spot using the reversing camera screen and controls, then
    push the button.

Interesting, either it uses the other car or kerb as a datum point. If using the car, it would have to rely on the other vehicle being correctly positioned; if using the kerb how would it manage with layback or no kerb?
