    TOPERI CHALLENGE winners

Well I don't know if anyone here went to the Toperi Challenge on the weekend but my club hosts it and it was brilliant.
And the winner, the Brindabella 4WD Club with the RED BITCH and the BRUISED BANNANA.
    The RED BITCH...

    The BRUISED BANNANA

Are you seeing a theme here. I grant you they aren't exactly the same vehicles that were sent to Aus from old blighty but as the only Land Rover owner in my club I am well pleased that two Range Rovers one.

    A few more pics.

This one isn't getting air because it is under power, it is being recovered by our recoverey vehicle, an excavater.

And just so no-one can say I'm TOO biased there were a couple of luxes that did quite well.

I went out on the Saturday, awesome event.

Those Rangies were good. Red Bitch from what I recall was running Mog axles, and the banana one was on something that was merely wild as opposed to outragious.

The vehicles that really blew me away were the Green Hilux and the Jeep. That Jeep was just stunning, its the first Jeep that I've really liked.... perhaps thats because there wasn't much Jeep in it. The Green lux I saw slip on some rock, break the gearbox, break a link on the rear suspension and twist the rear axle housing which snapped the driveshaft. Shame.

The team that really impressed me were 2 little stock looking Hiluxs, maybe on 35's or something that just picked there way through things (at least on the conveyer belt mud hole course) and got through with minimal fuss. Great little drivers they were.
    Cheers

Yeah that pair of luxes didn't look too modded but obiously had something going for them and obviously had good drivers / navvies. The didn't make a fuss at all, much like the 70 year old driver of the red bitch, he just drove his car around the track and made it all look too easy
