I bought mine through City and yes I also had to remind them about it before I was put on the list, I must admit that was all it took, but I had already had a very bad experience with City Trivett Peugeot which the sales guy knew about and I think he had that n his mind and went out of his way to look after me.
By the way don't ever buy a Peugeot from Trivett City they are terrible, the Land Rover guys there were fine though.

Perhaps you are making too fine a distinction for me.
I do know, however, that the LROCS trainers have "Train the trainers" qualifications and were trained by LRA.

I have done a bit of digging around, and talked to a few people I know, and it RMP is correct. In September 2008, a Lead Instructor was flown to Sydney from Land Rover Experience at Eastnor. He conducted training for 4 people. Two were John and Julie from Getabout Training Services and two were from Land Rover Australia. These are the only 4 people in Australia who have been trained to instructor and/or Senior instructor level. I know there are others who claim to be Land Rover trained, but they have only attended the level 1 or level 2 course in the UK, which are the courses normally delivered to the general public.
I think you will find the LROC Sydney trainers were trained on the D3's by The guys at Getabout.

I don't think anyone is commenting on the competence or otherwise of the various trainers in Australia. It's simply being pointed out that there are only 4 people in Australia officially trained by Land Rover to the standards required by Land Rover Experience (the official off-road Land Rover trainers from UK) for the purposes of training others.
This is not the same as training people to use the products, and as RMP pointed out earlier, it doesn't mean that these 4 are any better than anyone else, just that LR have presented them with a certificate that says they've met a particular standard. There are many other certifying bodies that may have trainers equally (or better) trained that have decided to specialise in the new Land Rover products.
