    For My Sister

    As a few people on here know, I lost my sister to cancer last year, and I lost my father only a couple of weeks ago. On Sunday just gone, as per my sister's wishes, we scattered her ashes into the ocean off south head, Sydney.

    Many members on here post up when they have lost a loved one...therefore, this post serves two purposes..

    1) a memory of my beautiful sister and;
    2) make sure you give those you love a hug because you never know what you've got till it's gone...

    Wonderful tribute, wonderful music, wonderful memories you seem to have.....found it very hard to hold back the tears even though I didn't know your sister.

    My mum is coming to visit me from the UK next week I will be sure to give her an extra welcome hug when she arrives

    My sympathy to you Mick, a beautiful tribute to your sister, you obviously loved her dearly.

    Mick, my sympathy to you too. I know how you feel as my wife lost her father to cancer last year and my own sister is fighting it too now. 15 months ago she was told she only had about 3 months to live but she is still hanging on tenaciously.
    You are right, you don't know what you've got til its gone. And no one knows when that will be.
