Replacement horn - 3 x louder they say

Found this set of horns for a LR whilst searching for some motorbike replacement horns for my R1200GSA:

NAUTILUS HORN SUITABLE FOR LAND ROVERS- 139dB (black)-NIPPY NORMANS - the No. 1 supplier of BMW motorcycle accessories!

    Here's the advertising copy:
Loud enough to convince other drivers that there's a derailed freight train barrelling down on them. Don't press the horn button in the garage, it hurts! At 139dB you can hear it on the other side of town.
Includes necessary fitting - simply replaces the standard horn BUT iIS 3 TIMES LOUDER

    I think I want one!!

I have one on my truck and they are nothing special - certainly better than a tiny jap horn though. I have the 300Hz version which is lower in sound.

They are on ebay Aust for about $60 - $100 including shipping depending on the version you get. The listings allow you to hear what they sound like.

if they are 3 times louder, that would make a factory horn 134.5 dB which I doubt very much. It would be interesting to see how loud exactly the standard one is. Does anyone ave a sound metre??

    god i'd love some airhorns.

i'm sick of the factory horn, it's too polite. like saying "just letting you know you did the wrong thing, but it's cool"

i want a horn that yells "YOU ****ED UP" ...really get the point across

You smoke a pipe while you are riding? Would that be turbo smoking?Your bike doesn't look like a Vellocette, a pipe smoking old man's ride.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
