Anyone doing the Nullabour before Xmas?

    Hi All,

Is anyone doing the nullabour at all before xmas? I'm taking off next weekend - planning to stop at a few places along the way (only have to be in Perth by xmas eve) and was wondering whether anyone would possibly be on the same trip?

I'll have the UHF on 40 the whole way (well after I leave Melbourne anyway - dont need to hear Bullbar at 3:30 in the morning screaming out MASSSIVE! - anyone who drives a truck in Melbourne will know what I'm talking about.........)

    Cheers,
    -Adam.

Thats the one.. There's 3 of them from what we can work out - all using different radios. There's one guy who's actually funny sometimes - I think he actually has a voice box and genuinely sounds like that. Apparently there's a photo of the really annoying one in his rigid truck on the wall at the Caltex @ Cragieburn but as yet no one's worked out who it is.

Melbourne CH40 can have quite a lot of good info on there (as I'm on the road a hell of a lot - have a uhf in both the Disco and the Rav4) but I guess its whether you're prepared to put up with the crap to get the good stuff. I've got pretty selective hearing so I can tune out pretty easy - annoys the esh haitch 1 tee's out of the missus though

Sometimes if you're lucky there will be some info on CH15 as well - that seems to be the alternate one. We're lucky for our stuff that we have our own private frequency well up past CH40 so its nice and quiet for comms. The downside of course is not everyone you want on there who has a UHF can jump on because its outside of the normal CB band.
