Mine drop down. Have done on every other Defender I've owned too. I just make a habit of checking the winder whenever I open the back doors.
Hi has anyone noticed the rear windows in their defenders going down?
My puma is only 4 weeks old and not sure if it is my son knocking the handles in the back or if they just do it on their own, I hear road noise then look back and see the window is down about an inch.
If this is normal is there a way adjusting them other than gluing the winder or an elastic band :-)
cheers
Patrick

This might fix them:
Turn the winders around so that the handle needs to go up initially to lower the windows.
It seems to fix most. The idea is that bumps don't affect the handle & lower the window. If around the 'right' way, bumps will try to close the window.

Same as Erich, I've done this on the Tdi and the Puma and I can still get them to drop on a corrugated road. I'd love to know if there is any real solution to this problem. I suspect if they were electric (like the front in the Puma) then the motor drive cog would keep it held up.

Not just a Landy thing. My 97 Rodeo did it on the rear windows and my old work VT Commodore did it on all 4 windows.
Mine have been doing it all along too. I thought it was the kids bumping them

Mine do it as well. Checking the windows is part of the pre-wash routine.

you can get a different regulator spring and on some regulators there is a handfull of holes you can locate the spring into that assists in the up.
