Just got the help dad phonecall

Gday All,
Just towed the daughters Astra home and found the problem..The dreaded flat battery..
I was surprised to read in the manual that a low charged or flat battery will effect the cooling system. Was wondering why that would be..What part of the cooling system would rely on 12v..or must have an ECU of some sort its a 2001 model

Any ideas on why it would effect the cooling system?

Probably relies on an electric cooling fan.

And / or possible electric water pump.

It appears that a low battery won't allow the electric fans to cut in, and gives a cooling error instead.
