    Merry Xmas from Darwin and WA

    For you SA and Vic people you are looking at getting our cyclone effecting your xmas eve/xmas day.
    Cyclone Lawrence from Darwin is about to cross the WA coast for the second time at Wallal.The duty forecaster says it has really built up in strength during today and is blowing at 285kph.It will be causing gale force winds around Giles and other inland comunities on Wednesday.He says the system is strong enough to effect the weather in SA/Vic over Xmas.
    Hopefully it doesnt involve hot dry winds and fires.

    We can only wish that we get some much-needed rain over here around Xmas. The grass is crunchy and brown and our vege garden is JUST hanging in.

    Hope our Northern WA friends don't get too much damage from Lawrence and our southern friends don't get the hot winds.

    Its a nice early 1 too, hope its not a sign of things to come.Depending on who you believe, but we got about 500mls in 50hrs in Darwin,from when it came thru thats twice the monthly average.

    Having been thru a few I can only hope it crosses the coast in an unpopulated area and dump the rain where its needed.
