No problems for Hedland apart from a lot of moisture, it went in further up the coast thankfully.
Report on the radio earlier from people who flew over Sandfire and Pardoo said it appeared that the main buildings were pretty intact, minor structural damage, they just lost outlying sheds, no injuries reported. They were not allowed to land due to winds and flooding so couldn't get a really good look but it didn't appear too bad. Lots of stock loss from the coast in, carcasses lying everywhere.

Lol, I posted that your troubles were just beginning when you advised us of the birth of your daughter...now look what you've done! It's an omen mate

    Cheers

    Its been a ripper...

I had a few flights last week between Broome and Kununurra and it was just a solid wall of water. Kalumburu and Truscott got 500mm of rain.

Koolan and Cockatoo were all evac'ed but some of the boys at work were saying that all the vegitation on the islands been ripped off the trees.

Broome has been WET for the last few days.

I got a job to fly down to Wallal Downs, 80 mile and Sandfire for a TV crew today. 80 mile Caravan Park and Wallal have been hit pretty hard. heaps of trees snapped in half or ripped out of the ground. Sheds destroyed and even a semi trailer tipped on its side at Wallal.

Lots of flooding, most of the strips are under water, Its a real mess.

FESA where just landing at Wallal when I was down there, and it sounds like no one got hurt which is good.

That's a shame about 80 mile, I hope the van park and everyone there is OK. We stayed there in September and it's a fantastic spot with (then) beautiful shade trees.
