The controls on the Excavator can actually be switched to "Backhoe" operation for those who cant get their head around it.There is a cost as it uses more hydraulic power doing so.Its an Excavator, perhaps backhoes should match it.We all agreed if we are going to learn to play in an excavator we will use the controls as such.
With the graders,CAT and Volvo are basically the same, thank god, there a plenty more levers to tug on in a grader.

wait till you get on a worksite thats got linde, clarkes, Cat, manitou, maniscopic case and merlo forklifts.
Every machine has a different job and your expected to hop from one to the next every 10-15 minutes or so during the quiet shift.
Its even more entertaining when the electronics go cactus in a couple of them so you have to resort to levers on valves controls.
good to hear your doing well at the worksite tho.
