    Honda CRV 01 vs Freelander 2 09

    Hey guys,

I know draggong 4wd's isnt exactly a test of which car is better and performance wise but my mate kept insisting i drag his Honda CRV. I own a Freelander 2 TD4 2.2 Turbo diesel and his a CRV 2 litre V-tec. So anyways we were about to drag on a straight and he took off 2 seconds before me and got a lead but i pulled past soon enough but by this point he blamed a car up way ahead and said he needed to slow down. The race was unfair and he claimed victory and refuses a rematch from a traffic light which would make it fair. Now i am just curious if it is possible for the CRV to actually beat my rover on a straight drag race? this guy is cocky as hell and would really like to teach him a lesson =P

I happen to know where theres a dissused air field in your area.....

the CRV should beat you on the initial take off but you should be reeling him back by about second gear.

the right distance is your friend. of course loading the drag by making it off road will cinch him out in total.

10.8 seconds for the 2001 CRV and it would seem 11.2 for the current auto TD4 FL2.

Is his / yours auto or manual?

If manuals, it will be much harder to get the book time as opposed to with an auto.

    A CRV

Just drive over the top of the bloody thing.

Girls and hairdressers driving these things are nothing more than an annoyance.

And anyway - why would you want to drag race it to try and prove anything ? If your mate reckons it's the best, let him go on thinking that. You know better, don't you ?
    Cheers .........
