Never thought I'd see someone from Mackay defending Rocky!!
Its big enough to get most of what you need without the big city congestion which is never any fun in a defender.
My only complaint would be the lack of quality 4wd spots accessible to the public.
Places are different things to different people.
While not my cup of tea, I suppose if your thing is sweating your ring out, having nothing to do, drinking, fighting, riding around in overly accessorised utes complete with trucker mudflaps and marrying your cousin, it could be seen as a virtual paradise.
Have done many a race weekend in Rocky, and to me the best thing about it is the road out. But plenty of people seem to live there, I just choose not to even visit if I can help it.

while they maybe rocky traits they are also thick in every country town in QLD...spose i have to be thankfull that them bloody wankie b&s utes dont seam to appear in sydney.
