    Reviving a very old thread but just thought I'd shout out to the RRC diesel swap aficionados out there.

    Was just looking up Fred Smith's phone number via google and this old Aulro thread popped up in the search.

    The white RRC with chev diesel is still going strong and still a ripper. As tools go it's a pretty blunt instrument (sounds like an old kenworth), but it loves being loaded up with gear and towing stuff. The more weight you throw on the back, the better it runs.

    That said, it's heading down to Fred on a tilt tray in the morning. Water pump and starter motor went pop fizz within 5 mins of each other. 2 blocks from home - could have been worse.

    I wonder if my old gold RR with the isuzu (aka Coral Glow) is still chugging away out there? Now that was an engine you could trust.
