    Nice wet homecoming

Arrived back home today after a nice wet Christmas. My home was cut off from Boxing day until yesterday due to flooded creeks, but we got in OK today. More rain forecast Thursday, which may cut us off again.

I have yet to look round the place for results of the rain.

I have brought back three grandchildren for the school holidays.

Trip was uneventful except that the blinkers on the 110 have stopped working. I suspect the blinker unit, as it does not appear to be a fuse.

Glad you made it back in. Was wondering how you fared with all that rain.

Rainfall was obviously quite variable - the creek you crossed with all the sand would not have been a problem, as it did not even run - but the next one to the north, upstream on the Talbragar, ran a banker, over 100yds wide and twenty feet deep, with the result that at my bridge the Talbragar was about a foot above the bridge. Now it is about five feet below the bridge and rising as the water comes down from upstream.

I have not checked it, but the way you went out would probably have been OK.

Was veryable all right. We got 90mm to 125 mm around Coolah with zero run off.Depended where you were standing. No flooding reported in our area at all. There were falls of over 5" around Leadville area that did flood a bit.

Hope you don't have to much damage there as a result.
