    Hi all,

over the years one has heard of vehicles being taken for what they have on or in them.
Those who take are either in the midnight spares inc group or joyriders
either way your rego plaate is on view in photos car parks or your drive way.

    Cheers

Yep, that is true and the chances of a prospective thief seeing it on the road or in the drive is just simply bad luck but a publically viewable web site with build thread or whatever is available to view 24/7 by anyone. Some peoples signatures on other forums I read also read like classified adverts sans the phone number/address...

Just finished reading that Jeep thread...

Anyone in public can see your car with your plate on it, and report it if they so wish.

    What a crock.
Yes, but if it's on a forum anyone acroos the country could report your vehicle or use it as an example of a 'Killer 4wd" in a news story, or anyone of half a dozen fairly unlikely scenarios. Better to be safe and delete the plates.

    Regards,

Unfortunatly some of these thieves/scum/dobbers go to the same open days and displays we go to and pick exactly what they want to take even ask questions of the owners and act like your mates one member here had a siren collection nicked had to be someone with a little inside info. Cant hide your plates all the time
