im trying to do rear trailing arm bushes so i can go wheeling tomoz and ive broken 2 vices trying to do in that way so now im wondering if anyone local has a press i could borrow to press them in, im in newcastle but can travel a bit if need be or ill be in sydney in the morning
Northern beaches (Sydney) If that's of any assistance
well went to sydeny today found one kmart garage open and went in the apprentice couldent say yes or no so i waited for the boss to come back and he didnt seem to want a bar of using there 20t press to push 2 bushes in so i came home and went and bought a 12t press and it is great ill be able to use it for so much if anyone else needs to use it just let me know
Be very interesting to hear how the press goes, particularly the frame (not bothered about the jack part) I've considered getting one myself, and as I'm likely to be doing all suspension bushes over the next few months considering getting one soon.
Which breed did you get ?

Ive the super cheap 12T jobbie and its done all bushes on quite a few rovers now tho it flexes a bit and makes some good bangs whist pushing bushes
Mitch i only seen this post late last night you could have come used my press if i was around plus i have a few bosses made up for rover bushings which make the job that bit easyer![]()
