    Sorry to hear about your mate Mick, the job you guys do is worth 10 fold what you get paid, My wife is ex job and so is her father, the stories I have been told beggers belief at what they put up with. R.I.P Brett

    not only are the police grossly underpaid for the **** they put up with, but when the heat is off, politics force them into a position where they are looked upon poorly by the community (think revenue raising), then when the heat is on, politics force them to tackle deadly situations with both hands tied behind thier backs.....

    alas, gone are the days of the local sarge being 6'6 and giving the local brats a hiding and nipping any problems in the bud...... now its a softly softly approach that only the police are forced to obey..... the thugs go in boots and all.....

    You have to love these days of namby pamby policing. He went to a siege a few years back. Whilst all and sundry were sitting on their hands waiting for someone to make a decision, Brett went in with his dog and disarmed and took down the offender..what did he get for it? A complaint by another officer because he didn't follow SOPs....had his coit reamed.....
