    Same here.

At our Christmas breakup the Chairman of the company informed me that there will be a celebration of the 30 years I have been with them. Started my apprenticeship there and have continued on.

I have seen many changes in the printing industry since that first day. Most likely one of the reasons why I have stayed for so long.

I was with the same company as you for 24 years before getting the golden handshake, not wanting to rain on your parade, but don't get toooooo comfortable, although it's not quite so bad now it's Sol less.

I reckon 30 years of service is another Milestone , well done , I'm only assuming that you'd be staying there till retirement.

that's right Matt , time flies when you enjoy working for the same Mob , a "Golden Handshake" would be very nice at 25 yrs.

Trying not to get too comfortable there Mark, that's why I have started getting skilled in another Trade just incase , I always have a Plan B or C up my sleeve.

    Congratulations Khos.

Guess the longest in anything like that I've had is being a uni student, which I think is now up to six years in a row.

My dad started as a lecturer at Sydney uni in 1963. He retired about ten years ago, although you wouldn't know the difference, he still shares an office at the uni and goes in to work most days. This impresses me no end, he literally loves it so much he does it even if he doesn't get paid. Lucky bugger.

    Paul,
You actually should reward yourself. You are no different, just you have to arrange it and accommodate it. Go on reward yourself with a night out and a pressie.
Got my 15yr at Ravy finally, even though it was actually closer to 18 years. Really nice silver service dinner and a $750 gift card. Shame I did not make the 20 for the $1000 gift card.

Good luck to you, Disco_Owner. There was not one of my private sector employers I would have felt like staying with for long service. The only reason I stayed in the public service for 8 years was 12% unemployment and I was over 50.

Most of the long serving staff at a couple of places were people who would not leave because they well knew they would never find another job, or another job where they did so little.
