    It's To Hot

For those of you who don't know I run a small caravan park in the heart of Vic food bowl. This time of year we fill up with fruit pickers. A lot come down from Qld where their season is finished and ours is starting.

I find it quite amusing that the Queenslanders are all whinging how hot it is here.

We even have a couple who are staying to look after the place while we take a holiday. They are from Qld and all they are doing is spending the day indoors with the air conditioner on.

    Dave.

So hot one of the 'o's has evaporated. Are they real Queenslanders, or the Mexican variety?
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Holidays Are you coming up for a visit Dave?

Down your way isn't nice when the temperature sits in the 40's every day. I remember swimming in irrigation channels to cool off in the heat of summer (probably not allowed now days).

Really Dry hot heat here and fires burning. Assisting FESA and SES where we can, but all that can really be done is to cut containment lines with a dozer in this scrub and part of the world. No option of water bombers here as country WA is not considered important enough. Our government consider country as far South as Albany and as far North as Geraldton. The rest of the state just does not exist.
Norseman Wed 6/01 44deg, Thur 7/01 40deg Fri 8/01 42deg Sat 9/01 43deg today Sun 10/01 cooler and 39deg just mod to 35 cool change hooray. Then dipping to around 30 for 2 days before heading up again.
Esperance on Wed 6/01 47 deg, hottest day on record.
Munglinup on Wed 6/01 49 deg, no wonder the parrots and cockies are dying.
Should try ERT vertical rescue training in 44deg heat.

Would love to come up Derek. We do hope to before you move on.

As for swimming in the channels it has always been illegal (the nine years I have lived here any way) but that doesn't stop any one.
