    funny 4wding holiday moment

Up in barrington tops for xmas, 8 days camping and 9 days of rain, I was collecting firewood up a very muddy track with four other guys and we had gone up in an isuzu ute and a yota ute...I left the disco back at camp..anyway, a bloke in a patrol drives up and starts spouting " when are we going to get real 4wd's..., isuzu utes are crap, yotas are a joke...we should get serious, get a nissan or go home etc.

The Guy was a complete goose, none of us had ever even met this bloke before and all this drivel was a joke, especially in driving rain, chainsaw going and us collecting about 2 ton of firewood for everyone down in the campsite.

So he drives off up the hill and not 100 metres later gets completely unstuck on a real muddy part of the track, so bad that he frigs around for a few minutes then has to reverse back past us, turn around and go back down the hill, with tail between his legs.

So we get back to camp and I am ****ed off at this idiot, so much so that a mate and I jump into the disco and head off to prove a point

We drive back up, over the hill, past the point bozo and his patrol came unstuck, over the the top, back down to bozo's campsite, wind down the window, give him a serve about how a humble series 1 disco ate the track that stopped his patrol, then drove back to camp, lit the victory fire and had a beer

People like that are put on this planet for one reason - Too make the rest of us look good.

Please tell me it was a stock standard Disco and his Nissan p.o.s. was highly modified.

hahaha, I cant confess to a stock standard disco, but he didn't know the difference.....just between us, its a bit hard to see front and rear diff locks from a distance

But, he did have 'all the gear and no idea' patrol was raised to the horizon, had massive mud tyres, complete aftermarket suspension kit and he claimed 'its 900kg over tare cause of all the rescue gear and other stuff I have in it"

actually, I remember now that the first thing he said when he got to us was that we had been gone so long that he figured we must have got bogged, and he had come up to rescue us

Now there's a word you don't hear the Queen utter every day.
