    Unhappy oooh that hurt!

Not the ribs or the back this time, had to have a pill and a lie down after lunch. Went in to sign the finance contract at the brokers today for the car.

    pics:

This one is similar, but 1 year older and ours is in gold, not blue.

    http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/...s=11&silo=1011

Unlike a rib injury this'll take 5 years to get over, luckily with no balloon at the end.
Was talking to someone the other day who bought a 45K HSV, it is now worth 25K, and there is a 12K balloon STILL to go

Made me feel a little better after hearing that.

Don't have any CCards or much other personal debt at present so isn't too much of a hardship to have a well built, safe and reliable family car for the next 5 or 7 years. The last one lasted this long without incident and has been fantastic.

Now, to finish the LSE and a few other projects, maybe try and reduce the vehicle numbers around here

    Hi there JC,

I believe as good form you are required to supply a "pic" of this burden for your brethren. That way we can pretend to be sorry for you as we look on in envy at yr new acquisition.

I being relativity new do however bow to the greater wisdom of the company I am privileged to keep.

    Respectfully yours etc etc

    Andy,

I was a 'Merc boy' until I bought the LS400. A LOT of quality and refinement for the $$$ so I had to have another. The '400 has 280K on it now and is 19 years old, still like driving a lounge room but time to upgrade
Took it to FNQ a few times, cooktown etc before the sealed road and really, I was so impressed with the ride and efficiency - 28mpg easily, every tank. You just feel very safe driving it. This 'new' one has Satnav etc aswell as about 35 airbags, stability control, bigger brakes, VVTI motor bla bla.

Been a very good car, and unlike some other 'toymota' products, it has a soul and is a joy to drive.

Yes, I will enjoy it - If I don't run out of demerit ponts...

They are a lovely car. I'm sure it will treat you well and it will always be a pleasure to drive. The depreciation on new or near new cars is terrible - nightmare on Elm St stuff actually. Enjoy your Lexus.

This is the exact reason i have stayed away from a D4.

And as for the D2 i have now,i have done around 6k a year,in depreciation, since i bought it new

It's only money,so who cares,if i don't spend it SWMBO will,or the kids if they can get hold of it

    JC,hope all goes well.
