quiet again,anyway had a call from my old form teacher(Mr P Jones 2H)last night,seems a relative of his lives in Fremantle and had seen my post regarding her nephew.

Mabel Christmas is her name if anyone on here knows her, she drives a 2006my 110 TD5 resprayed in what she calls 'Desert Rat Pink' in memory of her brother who was in Monty's 'Great 8th' during WW2,she is easily spotted because she still wears his army kit when out shopping etc.,her brother for those interested(Stan)came back to the UK in 1976 for a spot of sunbathing in that long hot summer and is still somewhere on Ainsdale beach in Southport,if you see him on a Southport Council deckchair give him a prod as he owns the borough treasurer over £36.75 in ticket money.

Mr Jones now lives in Pontypridd (pronounced Pontipreeth) in his native Wales,married to Gronwynne an old teacher training colledge flame they have a collie dog called Ivan (originaly called Ivana until someone pointed out an 'extra bit' whilst at a sheep trial near Mold) anyway he tells he is fine and doesn't misses teaching at Bramcote school,he left the teaching profession in 1975 for a more quiet life as a local pest control officer in Fishguard preferring rats to kids,I asked him how he got my phone number telling me he still keeps in touch with our old school 'wagman' (Ted Jarvis) who said he would never forget my number as it was 'chiseled' into his memory from all my truancy mainly from old 'Jug 'eds' lessons
