There is no steering wheel or levers in them. All done by 2 joysticks.
I dont wear the seatbelt, its too darn uncomfortable.I get the impression if you hit a stump or big rock in one of these old fatguts Andy dissapers out the front window with a joystick in each hand
At least my guts work as an airbag when I visit the steering wheel at the moment

After you've driven a dozer over an unknown cliff, whilst pushing scrub, you tend to make sure the belt is tight.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

    That would be interesting Ian!!!!!
Would be sinking the blade and rippers pretty quick!!!
A while back the digger driver was loading sand and his perch gaveway. All that was stopping him from topling over was him resting the bucket in the loaded semi trailer.Truck steerer didnt get much of a pleasant reply over the 2way when he pointed out the dirt had fallen from under his track
He managed to gather everything up with no damage to the gear.

Fortunately it dropped fairly flat but nose slightly front down, but it was still a hard landing after a 20' freefall.

Another 'interesting ' experience was an old Cat digger that I regularly moved. It had a dodgey right hand drive drive and would slew halfway onto the float. I had to load it in some steep country, so decided to point the truck down hill, saving the Cat a climb. Parked on grass and with no maxi s on the trailer, guess what happened.
