    FREECYCLE

Just wondering if anyone has heard of it or is a member of your local branch.
we have been members for awhile now its where you cap put on stuff you no longer need or use so someone else can use it instead of throwing it in the bin.
cause i'm home alot (all the time ) i have me vegie patch & i allways seem to put way to much in so i give some to next door & i offer some on freecycle ...
i used to put my old tools on there after i have updated mine but some people have come & got them, then we have seen them on fleebay,so i dont put tools on anymore .but i will be puting them on here in general chat as we can do that now..
but you can put everything & anything on freecycle so someone else mite get some use of it.
so i was wondering if anyone from here was on it..

My family Freecycle. It's been good to my sister who recently broke up with husband & had to re-furnish her house. As for the scum who re-sell Freecycle gear, you can get them banned from the site, it's one of the by-laws. Had some people doing it up here but were taking it to the Caboolture Markets

I've thought about it and checked it out. I like the idea of it, but ultimately have decided not to as I don't like the thought of strangers coming to my home to check things out as hubbie travels away a lot.

I do sell stuff on ebay when we've finished with it and allow local pickup, but I figure if the people have paid for it, then they are genuine and not likely to be just turning up to suss out your house. Also, it's usually baby stuff, so it's young mums who are collecting it.

    Hmmm, now I sound a bit paranoid, I s'pose .
