Licenced Land Surveyor needed @ Taggerty

Does anyone know of a Licenced Land Surveyor who can do a small job of about 3 hours max at Taggerty to establish the boundary fencing of a Black Saturday survivor family. The a**hole neighbours are trying to rip them off by moving the old boundary over by several meters before selling up.

The surveyors contacted so far are quoting anywhere between $800 and $2500 for 2-3 hrs work - basically ripping off the poor survivors.

If anyone knows of a reasonable or kind hearted surveyor would you please email me vic_cerg@bigpond.com.

    Thanks,

    teks

P.S. By the way the survivors are the folk some of us helped recently on January 16th.

How about putting it on the neighbours, either establish the fence on the previous line, or, engage a surveyor themselves to prove it was in the wrong place.

Why do you say they (the surveyors) are ripping them off? Do you have any real idea of the costs involved that the surveyor may incur, as to equipment, staff, insurance, record keeping etc?

Especially if the case may end up in court...

$800 actually seems a very good price for a survey. You're looking at at least two dudes, some expensive kit and travel.

The neigbours aren't ripping off your friends, but they will be ripping off any future purchasers. A boundary is a boundary. It can be surveyed at any time and an incorrectly placed fence must be moved.
