    Flash flooding!

Oh, We have been hit this time I measured around 8mm at the house but the storm hit about 1kmh away

Lookout any one down stream. I'm near 43 and its the biggest one we've had here in my life.

Was strange as none of the other water ways ran at all In fact some ran backwards

We have a big mess here now

    Water over the windscreen

    A hilux chickened out

The tracks are mine I had to wait for the level to drop so was very safe to cross. The waterways here have a lot of side push. You dont mess with it ever!

Been some very good (heavy) falls around Sydney as well approaching 200mm overnight.

Spent last night at an outdoor 21st not as good as we had hoped with that rain and strong southerlies as well , but everyone seemed to have fun, kicked the last out at around 10am after filling them with bacon and eggs.

I have phoned some of the people who live up stream of us although some of my country is higher than they are. Have reports of over 200mm on top of the last few days total of100+ mm.

We all like pics so I'll put a few more up

It got all dark and nasty

    I'm now heading down steam.

And then down further and met the front breaking the banks

My additional equipment for the fence repairs tomorrow.... The 120 + Box trailer+ ATV and lots of wire

Any one near by OK at fence repairs?

Only a total of 54.5mm here, but I guess your lot will be down in a week or so - probably be cut off from the village for a couple of days. The river is only at about 0.5m at present and has only risen a few centimetres in the last few days.

Got to be better than what you have been used to over the last few years though John.

Hopefully there will be another 50mm or so in the next couple of weeks.

Yes, definitely better than the last ten years, but still basically very dry. Tried grading some roads a week after the Christmas rain, but gave up after a few hours because of the dust - ground was only wet a few centimetres down.

Weeds are growing very well anyway, and the tanks are full, although the dams aren't yet - been virtually no runoff.

According to the BOM site the river at Elong rose a metre in the last hour!
