My sister took this on Saturday Down near Metung
Got a little stuck
Hey Rob,
the owner of the property next to Winton Raceway and his partner brought, from memory, about 30 plus Centurion Tanks when they were sold off. He has been steadily selling them for years now as a part of his retirement fund.
We stayed in one of his rental houses last year right next to the tanks and checked them out on the monday after the race meeting. He has a shed full of gear including a Merlin engine just sitting there in the crate.
When we were there he had just sold his last battle tank fitted with a gun / rifle and let us climb into it and look around. He still had about half a dozen recovery tanks, trainers, and bridge tanks left, he is a really nice guy and very intersting to talk to.
cheers,
Terry

Chenz,
Great pics,
would be interested to know where the last 2 were taken. I can be contacted at davo1975@hotmail.com
Chenz and I in the 11A off Walkers Crossing Track. Second last I think is Old Andado and the last is near The Twins on the Madigan Line.

To cut a long story short.A WA AULROian has been chasing a Series Truck cab to mount on his rockcrawler project.Ive known about this abandoned landy for some time,I gained permission from the current leaseholder for it to be removed.
The member never got to pick the Landy up.
Last week The landholder where the original Landy was told me where another wreck was if my mate wanted another one.
I went for a looksee,I found this hidden away.
Its the same Landy removed and draged 6km for "repairs"

Bad photo taken on my phone, facing the sun.
We found this on our property, covered in long grass about 25 years ago.
Anyone like to guess what it is?
They were pretty popular in their day.
This is the old truck at Mt Mee
Most people in SEQ will know this one.
What is it?
Where is it?
It's a disgrace they are left like this - there's two together.
OK last one for now.
Part of the mine works, out the back of Rover Park
