Excellent photographic coverage Micks, I always watch the Tattoo on TV. I see the Swiss Guards where there, they are my favourite, they must drill 24 hours a day to get the perfection they achieve.![]()
Saturday night I went to the tattoo at the Sydney Football Stadium in atrocious conditions. Nonetheless, it was brilliant - worth the money and the drenching.....

I used to watch them on TV until it became just a music/marching show.
Gone are the displays of driving, setting up artillery, and all the other non-musical stuff, etc.![]()

I was lucky enough to see it in Edinburgh when we lived over there 9 years ago.
Lots of guns, soldiers, bangs, vehicles and smoke.
Wanted to take the kids this time in Sydney but I seriously could not believe the damn cost.
To those that went along - I hope you enjoyed it. Great pics Mick.

G'day All, I know everyones tastes are different, but I have put a Thanks in with Ron & BrianH, I used to like watching the Tattoo when they did all the things that Ron mentioned and more, like dropping 2 Land Rovers into the arena by helicopter (L/R's in crates 2 b assembled) and 2 teams of engineers putting it all together against the clock, and lots of other military team work, not just music, I acknowledge that the Military all over the world have their own bands etc, but it isn't to my liking so I dont bother with it anymore. A friend of my wife asked us to attend the evnt with them some months ago, she was taken back when I said I wouldn't be interested, anyway everyone being different helps make the world go around so to speak LOL cheers Dennis
ps I would most likely watch old repeats of programmes from the 60's and early 70's LOL
