Then there's vermin, they chew wires. You don't find out about it until you touch some live foil, could be years later.

Foil covers everything so you can't see where to walk or where cables or pipes are when required.
I'd think the first tradesman in your roof would get out his stanley knife and stuff the insulation. They don't have much choice. Once it's stapled in place there isn't any other way.

try this as an experiment get a sheet of al foil from the kitchen about a 1' long and loosely wrap it around your mobile phone for about 5 seconds then unwrap it quickly and see how many bars disapeared , the foil insulation would be 2 sheets each sheet would be about 500 times ? thicker then that 1 piece of foil so i think it must have an effect on radio waves ? ?

Indeed you are correct. Evil radio waves!
We must protect ourselves from aliens who use these waves to tamper with our minds. Possibly even abduct us.
The only answer is an alfoil hat!
