I must admit I tried but it just had to go once too often it didnt run properly.
Do you sell Yamahas as well lots of people on Exploroz seem to be saying that they are better than the Honda.
Must admit I bought the Honda because I thought it was the best and the Kipor mistake was one too many.
I also understand that the EU10i has an alloy bore where the Eu20i doesnt is this right?

Yamaha's are good but two things I had against them.
1. They are wider than the EU20i
2. They are heavier (from memory about 10kg)
This was for their 2.5kW unit. The weight made it a 2 person lift, the width made storage an issue.
Not that this is relevant I think that they look like either a Lada Niva or a 1971 Toyota Hilux.
Unlike the Honda that looked like a Range Rover Sport LOL

The Yammie claims to be quieter ... but wait till it's running with some load applied, or worse at full tilt ... it's noisier. The name doesn't relate to the output (especially the Kipor) ... they might call it a 3000 something, but it's really only a 2400w generator (MAX).
Customers ASSUME that the name also is the rated output :( Not so. The EU20 rated in that way would be a 3000watt generator (3000w peak, 2000w max, and 1600w continuous). Max' rating is for approx' 20min's.
The Honda is rated at 50% over current for 1-3sec's for motor starting applications ... the others aren't. I've tried the EU10 on our 3/4Hp bench grinder in the workshop ... takes a while to spin up to speed. The EU10 does it in style ... the Yammie & Kipor BOTH go out on overload fault! :(
As for the bore construction. The EU20 uses the GX100 engine. All the GX engines are CI lined cylinders ... the EU10 uses a GXH50 ... haven't had reason to check, but I'd expect that it's CI lined as well.

Being it's a GX engine, but only with a 50Hr oil change interval, I'd say it's an alloy cylinder wall ...
I'll check with the service dept' and let you know.
The GX100 / EU20 spec's both match. 100hrs or 6 months.
