Hmm, I might have to jam a rag underneath the rubber on reset button that should stop it tripping.
The embarrassing thing is it's done it when there have been toyo drivers in the vicinity.

Same here. Done a heck of a lot of outback driving in SWMBO's D2 and never a problem. Is this a D1 thing?

    Yep, mine's a D1 thing.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Made mine trip the other day dropping the little box thing out of the way to get at the relays, bit stuck and got a bit rough with it

Didn't know what the ruddy 'ell was going on, researched it in Rave, by that time it had timed out and would allow me to start the old girl.

Do your hazards flash also (mid did as per the manual) when activated by corrugations? I've got about 100 yards of pretty severe corrugations (nothing like the strez but still pretty rough) at the end of my street and hit them pretty quick (smooths them out) and have never had a problem.

Where is the reset button, didn't see it when I was playing with it, although wasn't looking for it?

    Cheers

are you adjusting your tyre pressures to suit the terrain.....?

maybe you could install a bypass switch on the dash......and just flick it for the rough stuff......then back again so the inertia switch can do its job the rest of the time......

but remember......it is there as a safety item......

Yes the hazards did flash, that's the embarrassing thing, every time it happens those nearby toyo drivers turn and look. It's like a beacon to attract attention.
I reset it and then found the lights on the dash were still flashing!.
Took me a while to wake up to the fact it was not the harzards now flashing but the indicator lever was on. How embarrassing LOL

Dunno about the D1 days but these days, there are some very severe corrugations on the test track at Gaydon...

On my D1 I ran cable ties around, under and over the button

This kept it working, as mine would just 'pop' occasionally, leaving the vehicle unable to start in a servo

From that point on, it was never an issue!!!
