    Vehicle ID info

    I have just picked up a rough Series II SWB and would like to find out it's age. Is there a thread or link where I could match a year to vehicle, body or serial numbers?

    If the Serial number is 88/7319 I guess this would be 88inch build date 1973
    1st of September correct?

    Hi Chris,
    Put the chassis number into this site:
    Classic Land Rovers
    and it should tell you the basics, although they can be a little hard to interpret to those not familiar with series LR vagaries.
