Thread: TyrePower catalogue.... Very specific usage

I went 4wdriving last weekend, Robe to Beachport via the beach and dunes. The only two other 4wds to make it all the places the Rangie went were a Prado TD and a Ford Ranger TD.

LOL ... "Suits 4WD & Prado"

... so, Tyrepower don't consider a Prado to be a 4WD then ?

yer a mate did the gear box in his (only had it for 2 days)
and toyota wernt going to cover it cause he used it as a 4wd
he had to argue that the beach was a legal road

Geez arn't they coming apart in a big way...Karma...for all the bull**** over the years...

Mate of mines daughter had the same problem with the Toyota dealer and her new Rav4.
Gearbox failed in 2 week old Rav4.
"Where were you driving it", asks smart arse Toyota dealer?
"On the beach" was the reply.
"Sorry" says Toyota dealer, with smug look, "not warranty'd for that!"
"Turn around and look at you advertising poster, you #*&# idiot" says customer
Rav 4 repaired under warranty

Wont work if he knows his stuff as aprt from the manufacturer warranty that does not state it can not be used off road or as 4x4, statuatory and implied warranty comes into play.
Amazing what they will say to get out of a warranty claim though.
