    That thing is awesome ,i would even go do the shopping if i had one of em,plus its a silly string shooter to boot....What is that white rope thing that follows the missile ??????

    nope its detcord on steroids.....(on the real units)

    used for rapid mine clearances. the missile shoots out tows the "detcord" behind it across the field the missile spuds in the wire hits the ground and then it gets "crumped"

    The shockwave detonates all the mines for something like 10-15m either side of the cord.

    The ones you see in the video are training aid type ones. cheaper and safer for the operator/those nearby. In combat both those points are moot as

    1. If it kills bad guys and protects or helps our guys, what it costs, Who cares?
    2. a) the operator is in a tank. the concussion is the problem for training its a bit more than youd like but in combat anything short of a nuke the concussion isnt usually debilitating so who cares?
    2. b) the only people likely to be around that thing when its doing its job are towel heads so again, Who cares?
