Hiclonetts another gimmick.( an idea that could make money. LOL)

I watched a second hand hiclone for a D2 get sold on fleabay the other week. It got lots of bids. I couldn't believe people are still gullible .We have all heard about what they are supposed to do. How they are designed to create a vortex of air as it enters the throttle throat.
But after it enters the throttle throat it is then hit with the plenum casing and the trumpets. Surely this in theory would put an end to this perfect controlled vortex of air
So if each trumpet inside the plenum chamber had it's own hiclonette attached surely it would cause the air to vortex invidually down each throat.
Another question to mind, does the airflow down a hiclone flow clockwise or anti clock wise in the southern hemispere?

Years a go a certain landy part supplier in Melbourne had another gimmick,
they were trying to flog a fuel preheater that fitted onto the end of the injecor nozzels. They claimed it would heat the fuel a split second before it atomised into the intake manifold. They claimed it would make the fuel atomise better as it was warm, were as cold fuel was too dense.
I thought that a hot engine would transfer some heat to the injectors anyway. They were asking big $ for the kit. I never heard any more about them.

sounds like a remake of the very early injector preheaters for extreme cold conditions.

All I can say that were pushing them every time I went into that shop. It was like saying No to a mormon knocking at the door.
