I feel your pain but it sounds like the car is almost "all new" now. Obviously you won't recover the $ youve spent if you sell it, so I'm not sure how selling it will help.
It's not broken. It's "Carbon Neutral".

Thats why i'm on here matey to get GOOD suggestions like that. Mate at the moment i'm havin a little trouble making decisions on what to do, yes i have spent a few $$$$ on it but its killing me in the long run as to to being able to put anymore $$$$ on it so soon especialy after nearly changing everything. it would be great if it lasted me more than a month without changing or replacing something thats whats hard.

Having and driving any vehicle involves having confidence in its reliability and safety. If everytime you get in behind the wheel you think "What is going to **** up this time" then it is time to cut your losses and look at another set of wheels.

Just think, the next Landy has got to be a better ride than the one you currently have and you have lost confidfence in.

Simon, belive this old bugger, just ignore the posts which are not positive or constructive.

You going to be ok at the end mate, I know how hard is to pump money into a vehicle or machine and the problems never ending.

For that reason I voted just sell the lemon and get another disco

See you in the road soon

Owning a four wheel drive can be a costly proposition on a dollar for dollar comparison with a 2 wd. Vehicle is heavier, uses more fuel, tyres are bigger cost more dollars twice as many diffs to go wrong etc. If you find that you are in strife financially you have to cut down on the wants and get back to satisfying the needs. Never borrow to buy a depreciating asset unless the tax man is giving you a break, the cost of money increases as the interest adds up in the mean time the asset is worth less for every year it gets older and every km and dint you put on it. If you are fortunate to be able to borrow from family with no interest well good luck to you, many have got a break through a family loan but you still have to pay it back.

Get a 2wd something you can afford to buy outright or pay back quickly, all cars have a cost of ownership factor above and beyond the consumables like fuel and tyres, if you can't afford the maintenance then maybe you have the wrong car.

Maybe get rid of the Disco and go back to basics and get a Series 2a/3. A lot less to go wrong and a lot simpler to work on.

They are a heap of fun to drive and its all about having fun isn't it, rather than worrying about **** happening
