Oziexplorer CE - Loading Track Files

I have Oziexplorer on my laptop and Oziexplorer CE on my Ranga special GPS.

I understand that I need to plan trips using Oziexplorer on my laptop and then copy the file to my GPS SD card. No problems so far but I cannot find in the Oziexplorer CE menu system where to open and use saved track files.

Can someone please point me in the right direction.

    Thanks

    Garry

    Hi Garry
Go to VIEW TOOLBARS then select the TRACK TOOLBAR. There is also a toolbar for Route and Route Create as well as Waypoint. You don't have to create your Route or Track on your laptop you can create them in OziCE using these toolbars. The main problem is the size of the screen, if you have a 7" screen this wouldn't be a problem as you can see more of the map. I hope this helps. I wasn't shouting earlier I wanted to hilite the proceedure.

Thanks Guys - but I do not have a track toolbar in my system. The closest I have is Wp List and Wp Set List. In the Config Menu I can configure the track ie Colour etc but this is the auto tracking function of where you have been.

I was sure that on Ozi CE that tracks had to be created on the full version of Ozi and then loaded into Ozi CE.

    Cheers

    Hi Garry,

I had the same problem when I first started using Oziexplorer.

Check out the two attached pictures (sorry for the quality)

If your screen is similar to 2.jpg click on the icon that I highlighted.
This should bring up a screen as per 1.jpg.

    Now follow Rod's details.

Thanks for the pics Dave I was at work when I wrote the explanation and I forgot that one important detail. If you still don't have that icon press the arrow and another menu will pop out and ithe icon will be there too.

Thanks guys - I have those screens but there is no "open track file" type button. I can switch tracks on and off but I do not have any mechanism to open a saved track file.

There is obviously something different about my system.

I will find someone with a similar system and get them to show me.

    Thanks anyway.

ok - just to confirm you want to load up a track file that has been plotted by a GPS - like the track files I upload from each day trip I do with others on this forum??

OK - my version of Ozi is version 2.14 - check which version you have.
On mine when it starts up it go's directly to the sat screen so yuo can see how many satellites are connected.
Along the bottom I have a toolbar that has the menus for file, view & map plus buttons to change screens.

Under the file menu you have a track log sub menu where you can import & export a track file, then when you load up the map where that track is it should show up unless you hide it later on.

However... the toolbar with file, view & map might be hidden on your version & you just need to unhide it, I just haven't found a place on my version to hide or un-hide that tool bar.
Let me know what version you have perhaps I can send you my version

EDIT: On my main map screen there is a little blue double ended arrow - pressing this hides & un-hides the tool bar I mention

    Hi Garry.

I am using Oziexplorer CE 2.32.

Note :This will only work when you are showing a map.

    Try this:
    1. From the bottom menu bar Click on View, then Toolbars, then Track Toolbar.( You should see a new toolbar on the top of the screen).
    2. Now click on the yellow folder and you should get Load Track File menu come up.

    Dave.
