Wrong dates recorded on a data logger

    Hi,
I'm running a puck style gps to a Datalogger model DGPS-XM4-ALT, which simply records the NMEA data stream from the GPS and stores it for down load as an OziExplorer plt file.
I'm only just starting to get to use this even though I have had it for some time.

My problem/query is that one day's track dates are wrong and the rest are correct.
    e.g.
Day 1, Hobart to Burnie on Fri 13th was recorded as the 17th (wrong)
Day 2, Burnie to Launceston on Mon 16th was recorded at the 16th (correct)
Day 3, Launceston to Hobart on Tue 17th was recorded as the 17th (correct)

The hour of the day however seems ok.

Any one else had this sort of error?

Now that I have noticed it, I will keep an eye on it - I can't see how a GPS clock could be days out.

I don't get to see the data until I load it into Ozi at the end of the trip.

    cheers

I thought of one of those but thought they are expensive.

I use a Garmin eTrex (cheap yellow one) with a power lead.
I can also store waypoints of course as well as the track.
    ---------------
As for why the clock is out... Is this the first time you have ever used it? If so, then only the first day may be out. For ever after it should be OK.
