Screen Resolutions
G'day all
Looking for something about 4 to 5". The eyes aren't what they used to be.
But I'm appalled at the screen resolution of the new VMS & Hema Navigator 5 - they're WQVGA!
This phone has much much better resolution, plus being cheaper:
HTC TOUCH HD2 | MobiCity
Any reason I couldn't run this just as a GPS? I have a legit copy of Ozi CE, plus various Hema maps. Just the hassle of a 12v supply, & decent mount.
Seems GPSs aren't keeping up with the screens available in smartphones - amoled etc. Dunno why.
TIA
Max P

Hi Tusker,
That phone runs Android OS, rather than WinCE.
On this page: Development for other Operating Systems
The Android version of OziExplorer is not ready yet.
Cheers,
Rob

TwoNav 7 and TwoNav 5 and the future TwoNav 6 have 800x480 VGA screens.
