    Which GPS........

Can any gps experts recommend a unit that is basically "idiot proof" ie. easy to use, easy to read, loud and clear instructions etc.

I know nothing about them at all just been looking at a Garmin Nuvi 755T and a Navman EZY40.

Are these okay ?? or is there something better out there ?? Thanks in advance

FWIW I would steer clear of the Tomtom One. It's easy enough to use but very tempermental - doesn't work for ages then suddenly perks up again...

Anyway as I got it for free I shouldn't complain...

    I disagree.
I've had mine for ages and never had an issue with it.
Just subscribed to the 12 month quarterly updates and it works a dream.
Means my roads are more up to date than the hardcopy UBD book I keep in the car.

    Cheers,

Never had an issue with my TomTom XL340. Much easier to use than the comparable Navman. Needs an update though and I can do that on line.

Maybe its just mine then. It couldn't find the satelites for about 2 months once - every so often I turned it back on and eventually it perked back into life and just recently the charger has packed up...

Just purchased a "Navman MY75T" unit, will see how it turns out eventually
Chose this one as it has the 4wd tracks etc already in it and is easy to use ....... apparently
